Overview

Auckland X-ray Services Ltd was established in July 2003 as an independent private radiology practice in the heart of the Eden Valley business and shopping district. Initially a joint venture involving local medical specialists and staff with an Australian business partner, AXS became wholly Auckland, NZ owned and operated in early 2010. Equipped with new diagnostic imaging machines, including multidetector helical CT and ultrasound with colour Doppler, the practice has steadily grown with the support of local and city-wide medical practitioners plus allied health professionals.

The foundation radiologist Dr Malcolm J Hudson has been joined by another locally trained and experienced radiologist, supported by a staff of twelve and also acting as managing director. 

While maintaining its presence within the Eden Quarter retail precinct, AXS has forged links with other medical and diagnostic practices in Auckland and further afield in New Zealand to promote its vision of providing easy access to effective medical imaging to the wider community.

AXS is an Affiliated Provider of medical imaging to Southern Cross Healthcare and was the first affiliated practice in Auckland delivering CT and ultrasound scans. Southern Cross members exclusively have access to a discounted rate. We can invoice Southern Cross directly online, usually avoiding any upfront payment of fees, depending upon your policy details.
